So I finally got new glasses! Hurray! I would take photos, but I'm having a horrific bad hair day today, and they look just like my old glasses anyway (the rims are ever slightly thicker than the last pair. I chose these because they said 'archivist' to me when I was in the shop; I think maybe because I was wearing my archivist cardigan at the time. WATCH ME STEREOTYPE THE PROFESSION I'M ABOUT TO ENTER).
The problem is that my new prescription now has a correction for an astigmatism on both eyes, but I'm not used to it. My depth perception has gone haywire. I don't touch-type so reaching the right keys on the keyboard is well difficult, as is not walking into things. Also, it feels like my brain is slowly imploding. Being able to read signs and stuff again is fun though.
Now, onwards! I've got to go plan an essay about moulds on old books or something.
@Mariya:
Hahaha. NO. Although, to be fair, a pink cardigan is fine, FOR A GIRL. I have no problem with guys in cardigans, or wearing pink either, but a pink cardigan is just ONE STEP TOO FAR. I think maybe I’ve turned into a clothing Nazi or something.
For the record, my cardigan is white and very thick so it keeps me nice and warm. It’s from Marks and Spencers, which is the sort of shop that is for old ladies, but surprisingly, it was the most fashionable cardigan I could find.
@Sieve:
WATCH OUT FOR WHAT? For a bit of cockney urine on my face?
That was a bad time for you wasn’t it my boy.
