Can you tell that I'm supposed to be doing work?
I met up with Gemma and Kate today, two of my friends from secondary school. Good God, I haven't seen them for four years! They're both still at university, which is good, I don't feel like I'm suffering alone. Kate is going to be a civil engineer and Gemma is going to go into the army (and she's going out with a friend of James Blunt!). We had a bit of a chat over some noodles, it was nice.

I’m so glad you feel the same way! I was beginning to think I was alone. It’s like some tradition, everyone has to hold the new baby at least once. If someone gets a new car they don’t ask everyone they know to have a bit of a test drive now do they? (although I’d probably be as bad at the car thing as I am at the baby thing)

I wanted to express complete solidarity with you on the “hold the baby” issue. I have no desire to hold other people’s babies. I’m afarid I’ll drop them not would I want strangers to paw my baby.
