And a man came to change the meter too
I have been so productive recently! Woo!
It's all boring real-life grown-up sort of boring stuff though:
- I applied for some jobs!
- I filed my CPD notes!
- I cleaned the flat!
- I went to visit my Nan!
Although, I think all this productivity has worn me out. The last couple of days, all I've done in the evening is go to bed early (which is boring for you, wonderful for me).
Today though, at work, I did completely un-grown-up un-boring stuff: I spent the morning drawing and colouring a map of a Tudor village that I made up. So much fun :D (If only I could use colouring pencils at work every day, it would be awesome.)

You were doing drawings at work? Is this your way of sticking your TWO fingers up at the slavedrivers?

No! I HAD TO draw one for work!
Ok, maybe that's a bit strong. I didn't have to, but I was asked to. I'm going to help out with some kids activities soon, and we're going to get them to draw their own faux-Tudor maps. So my colleagues and I drew our own versions to give them inspiration!
If only you could see mine. It is AMAZING. It's got a pond on it and a house and a church and a tree and I coloured it all in with colouring pencils. It is AMAZING. Even if I forgot to draw a river and now I feel silly. AMAZING.

Well, you know, that’s really impressive. Your imaginary Tudor village has a pond and everything? WOW. That is really neat! When I was in school, I always took projects like that really seriously, and I’d put ducks in the millpond and people in the market and stuff, and then even though I have the artistic talent of a shoe mine would go on the bulletin board and everyone would laugh at me, but even though I sometimes pretended it hurt my feelings I secretly I didn’t mind because I knew they were jealous. Which is backwards from the usual, but when you’re an epic nerd you learn to compensate in public. (History/world cultures class was my second favorite.)
So I was basically Hermione, but more annoying. Down to the hair.
Also, and speaking of which, I made this:

Well, seeing as I made it for you, no, you can’t steal it. You can have it! See what I did there?
(If it’s too big for LJ or DW, let me know and I’ll post a LQ version.)

Oh no! It's 9kb too large! (I knew old Lizzy had been putting on weight recently.)

Aw, balls. Here’s a pared-down version! Hope it works:

(It’s nearly 20KB smaller, so it should, but definitely report any further technical difficulties.)
