About the site

This site is my homepage/blog/gallery/domain/diddly. After owning a site called Schism for a number of years, on various free webhosts, I decided it was about time to waste some money buy myself a domain. And so on 16 May 2005 tinnedfruitconundrum.net came into being. The name tinned fruit conundrum dates back to a short piece of nonsense I wrote a few years ago. I forget exactly what the nonsense was, but it had something to do with a tin of fruit and was titled the tinned fruit conundrum, for reasons that still elude me to this day.
tinnedfruitconundrum.net is hosted by the lovely people at Hostony.com and my blog is powered by b2evolution.

Current layout
The artwork featured on this layout is a very atmospheric batik of Venice by Mariya, which she has very kindly allowed me to use. You can see more artwork by Mariya here (including a xxxHolic influenced batik which proudly sits on my wall). She specialises in batik, which, if you're not familiar with it, involves drawing with wax onto fabric and then adding dyes, all the while trying not to burn your fingers on the wax. The lyrics in this layout come from the Jackson 5, because their songs are great, and YOU WON'T CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE*
